Friday, July 8, 2011

SLR cameras, whether traditional or digital, can be a tad too expensive and not beginner-friendly, but that does not mean you have to give up on your dreams to become capture professional photos.

Photojojo offers this unique iPhone case that allows users to attach large, telescoping SLR lenses onto the smartphone's camera. Yes, it's apparently real.

By attaching a SLR lens onto the iPhone SLR Mount, you will no longer have to fret about simulated focusing and faux filters because those are what the big lenses are for. You can do telephoto, wide angle, macro, basically any lens possible, resulting to images that look like it is taken from an iPhone, but no…

Of course, you do not have to worry about this aluminum-based case being ruined if you hold just the iPhone and not cradle the heavy SLR lens as you take photos, do you? Thank goodness for the loopholes on each end of the case where you can tie on a camera strap, which you can hang around your neck and call yourself an “iPhonographer.”

This unique iPhone case comes in four versions: For iPhone 3 and 4, each comes with compatible attachments for Canon EOS and Nikon lenses. The iPhone SLR Mount is now available at Photojojo starting at $190 for the iPhone 3 version and $249 for the iPhone 4 counterpart. SLR lenses not included.
