The 16 GB sells for $649 while the 32 GB is $749 and do not come attached to any contract. The move to sell unlocked GSM phones is a bit puzzling as U.S. customers who buy the unlocked iPhone 4 can only use it on 3G on AT&T because T-Mobile does not run on a compatible 3G band. Still, for iPhone 4 users who find themselves on foreign soil often will like the ability of swapping to a local SIM without the need for any jailbreaking hacks.
Apple has sold unlocked iPhone 4 in other markets since launch nearly a year ago. Is this a move to clear the iPhone 4 for the next iPhone?
